12. Are you a ninja, a pirate, or a cowboy?
I am all things; I am one with the universe.
13. Wait! …How can you be a ninja, pirate, and a cowboy all at the same time?
I am far too faceted to just hold one role. I am a ninja when I dance, walk, clean, drive, and when I'm teaching my son about life.
I am a pirate when I treat myself to a day of relaxation, and sometimes in my relationships with men, or when I'm running errands, gardening, doing laundry, and when I'm teaching my son about life. I’m a cowboy when I'm grocery shopping, cooking, eating, out on the range, or going for a stroll (which is not regular walking!)… and when I'm teaching my son about life.

In the midst of rehearsing for Just Say DA!: Direct Object, Jamie talks about her relationship with objects over the years…
To me, objects are an unending plethora of possibilities: how they work or could be made to work. Give me an apple, a chair, a book, or a stump of wood and I will be a happy woman. Most often, I find that objects are always wanting to be more than what they were initially created to be. They are wanting to be, wanting to please; they are anything and everything. There is so much beauty in every object: the swoopey line of a shifty chair, the feminine curve of a vase, or the spiky love of a ceiling fan; I love to look at all things.
Just now I am translating my love of visuals to the art of the physical love of play, and yes, the love is infinite. I've never had just one favorite object until recently. My frame, Justin, has stolen my heart; he is supportive, strong, and reliable. It amazes me how inspiring his love is. He pushes me to find new ways to caress, juggle, and play with him. I love how he always wants to be with me; he has shown such dedication and love for me, and I will always hold him close to my heart. But he understands that I still have a deep, profound love for all things. Everything holds so many possibilities.

is a kamikaze penniless philanthropist. Instead of
money, she invests love, spirit, and the belief that anything is possible.
She came to a DA rehearsal to consult on design; before it was over, she was
standing on her head.
These days, Jamie is investing her energy into her most important and greatest creation of all: her son Louie! Thanks to both Jamie and Louie, we had two of our VERY BEST performances of Heron and Crane (which Jamie co-designed!) at the incredible Zilker Elementary in AISD on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving! Spacebo (Russian for Thank You), Jamie and Louie!.
